Long Hill Travel Baseball
In addition to our Spring Rec League, Long Hill fields travel teams starting at the 7U age level. The travel teams are designed for more competitive players and will participate in USABL or the New Providence Green League facing off against varying towns in the surrounding area. Full player and parent commitment is expected for travel baseball.
Season Information
Spring - The spring season runs from March until June and games are generally played on Saturday or Sunday
Summer - The summer season runs from June through July with 2 games on average played each week. Games are generally held Monday through Friday. There is a chance a game could be scheduled on a weekend but its not typical.
Fall - The fall season runs from September through early November. Games are generally played on Saturday or Sunday.
Tryouts
Tryouts for 8U and up are held in the fall (Oct/Nov) for the upcoming travel seasons. Tryouts are free of charge and conducted by 3rd party evaluators. Tryout evaluations along with Rec and Travel coach feedback is taken into account when determining team placement.
Requirements
- Participation in LHBSA's Spring Rec Baseball League is required to play travel baseball
- Participation in Rec Baseball does not guarantee participation in travel baseball
- Placement on a travel team does not guarantee future season placement
